The university’s International Office provides
a range of welfare and support services,
which are designed to provide access to
information and assistance that will make
your time at the University of Newcastle a
rich and academically rewarding experience.
The International Office also offers practical
and personal support to students who find
themselves in unfamiliar circumstances and
who need local advice and help. Services
offered to assist students include pre-
arrival support, help with finding on- or
off-campus accommodation, financial
management advice, visa compliance and
employment advice, a free counselling
service, access to health services, disability
support, chaplaincy, student mentoring,
community connections programs, access
to childcare facilities, conversational English
workshops, numerous sporting programs
